The 11th Ordinary General Congress and the Central Committee meeting of the International Eurasian Metalworkers' Federation have been held. This prestigious forum, which brings together sector-specific trade unions operating across the Eurasian space, served as a platform to adopt significant decisions in light of regional cooperation and global labor challenges.
Broad international participation and strategic goals
The Congress and the Central Committee meeting were attended by leaders of sector trade unions from various member countries, official delegations, and international labor experts. Throughout the international event, reports on the federation’s activities over the past period were presented, and detailed discussions were held regarding the expansion of cooperation among member organizations, the protection of the socio-economic interests of workers, and future directions for strategic development.
Active participation of the Azerbaijani delegation
With the aim of strengthening integration among trade unions in the region and developing international partnerships, Hikmet Nabiyev, Chairman of the Republican Committee of the Trade Union of State Institutions and Public Service Workers of Azerbaijan (ADİİXİ Hİ), represented our country at the event. Actively participating in the Congress, Hikmet Nabiyev held a series of bilateral meetings with international partners, providing foreign colleagues with detailed information on modern reforms within the Azerbaijani trade union system, as well as the systematic work carried out to improve working conditions and strengthen social dialogue.
At the conclusion of the meeting, resolutions were adopted regarding the enhancement of solidarity among trade unions operating in the Eurasian space and the sustainable implementation of joint projects.
