Protect labor rightsThe legislation on trade unions in the Republic of Azerbaijan consists of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, this Law, and other legislative acts of the Republic of Azerbaijan relating to the activities of trade unions.
The legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall not restrict the rights of trade unions provided for in universally recognized norms of international law, conventions of the International Labour Organization, and the European Social Charter.
The trade union acts as a professional bridge between the employee and the employer. The primary mission of this organization is to resolve issues that an employee cannot solve individually, within the framework of legislation and through collective strength.
Protects the legitimate rights and interests of its members and organizations before state bodies, employers' associations, and other social and political organizations.
Submits proposals for the improvement of working conditions and ensuring a healthy and safe work environment for trade union members.
Exercises public control over the implementation of existing employment legislation and takes measures to achieve fair remuneration for labor.
